Fremont Elementary Cafeteria & Site – Fremont RE-2 School District
This addition was part of the Fremont RE-2 2022 Bond Projects led by iiCON Construction and CSNA Architects. Fremont Elementary had long outgrown its original cafeteria, forcing students to cross the street daily—often in winter gear—for lunch service stretched from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. To solve this, our team designed and built a 9,493-square-foot addition that includes a modern kitchen, expanded seating, integrated restrooms, and a small stage for student performances. Beyond the building itself, we redesigned the site to improve traffic flow and safety, adding a student drop-off lane, more parking for parents and staff, and new playground space.
