Pueblo Community College Weld Shop Renovation

iiCON Construction was awarded the design‑bid‑build contract to expand and modernize Pueblo Community College’s welding shop. The project added over 1,600 square feet—bringing the facility to more than 6,000 square feet—and introduced ten new welding stations to accommodate growing enrollment.

Upgrades included a fully revamped exhaust system, new ducting, advanced exhaust fans, a dust collector, and a dedicated smoke evacuation system to improve air quality and regulatory compliance. iiCON also addressed various code-related issues to bring the space up to current standards.

By overseeing both design and construction phases, this delivery method allowed iiCON to solve issues early on, advance material procurement, and a smooth execution, resulting in minimal downtime for the facility and an efficient completion.
