RENOVATION OF THE OLD DEPOT
Many local residents of Colorado Springs remember Giuseppe’s Restaurant located in the Old Depot for several years. After a fire in the kitchen, the restaurant did not survive after reconstruction. As a result, the Depot Building remained vacant for the last 6 years.
iiCON Construction is proud to have been selected as the Design-Build firm to bring back 3 restaurants into the historical space. With the limited budget available, iiCON Construction completed numerous design concepts to bring the project in line with the Owner’s budget. iiCON elected to self perform the demolition and interior concrete & framing to keep the budget intact.
The Depot is now a focal point in Colorado Springs with a new Burger/Pizza Bar, Fresh Sandwich, and Farm to Table Restaurants within this historic building. This project has sparked interest from the Downtown Partnership and started discussions to design and construct a new entrance into the Historic Antlers Hotel including park renovations and improved access to the Depot. This is an exciting project that has been long in the planning that will be a needed addition to the redevelopment of Colorado Springs.
